John 11:1-27

CONSIDER

In times of waiting, we often feel anxious as we cannot see the future clearly and how things unfold. In times of waiting, sometimes we feel helpless and hopeless as no matter what we do, we feel the result will be the same. In times of waiting, we feel lonely as nobody would understand our feeling.
Jesus said “I am the Resurrection and the Life” in John 11. It reveals to us that in times of waiting, God’s glory will be revealed in His timing through the people He loves. Lazarus in Bethany was pretty sick, and his sisters Mary and Martha sent people to Jesus asking for help. However, Jesus spent two more days wherever he was and two more days of traveling to Bethany. Mary and Martha were anxiously waiting and by the time Jesus arrived after four days, Lazarus was already dead. We might ask why it happened this way.
I encourage you to read John 11 – 12:11 and learn how to wait patiently for God’s glory and how to live a life for Him as those who have experienced the resurrection power.

PRAY

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for your love and grace. You sent your only begotten Son Jesus Christ to come to this world and eventually died for me on the Cross. On Easter Sunday, I thank God for the resurrection of Lord Jesus. It gives me hope and the power to live in times of waiting. May the Spirit strengthen me when I face uncertainty and challenges, and to live for You with Your resurrection power. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
