Matthew 7:24-27
CONSIDER
The end of the Sermon on the Mount challenges those who hear the words of Jesus to put them into practice. Those who hear & don’t do what Jesus says essentially do not know the Father (see Matt 7:23). The end of the sermon is an invitation to be a disciple of Jesus, to choose the narrow way that leads to life. In the final section, Jesus challenges us to be wise by being hearers and doers of his words. This is a call to live out all of his teachings from the Sermon on the Mount by putting them into practice.
This is no easy task that we are called to. As a church, this is why we have created a Study Guide for the Sermon on the Mount series from this year & have invited each Community Group to journey through those teachings at some point in 2026. Our hope is that this will form us together in the way of Jesus so that we can be salt and light to the people around us.

PRAY
This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”
