Matthew 7:13-14; 21-23
CONSIDER
As we come to this final section of the Sermon on the Mount, we are faced with four short sections. Jesus talks about the two gates (v13-14), the two trees (v15-20), the two disciples (v21-23) and the two foundations (v24-27).
After spending over two chapters deepening the teachings of the Old Testament, this final section challenges us with a simple question: what is a true disciple. As we unpack this final section of the Sermon on the Mount, we will explore the marks of a true disciple and how we can live that out in community.

PRAY
Father, help us to be a people who walk the narrow path, knowing your way opens to a life that is abundant and eternal. May we be a people who do your will, who come before you saying, not my will but yours be done. Amen.
