Exodus 14

CONSIDER

Exodus 14 takes us to the edge of the sea, with fear behind and no clear path ahead. It’s a chapter about pressure, panic, and the kind of faith that either collapses or grows stronger.

When you think about resilience, who comes to mind? Maybe it’s someone in your life who has walked through loss, disappointment, or uncertainty and somehow kept going. And in Scripture, who stands out to you as deeply resilient? Moses? David? Ruth?

Exodus 14 invites you to look closely at Israel’s defining moment at the Red Sea and ask what it really takes to nurture a faith that doesn’t fold under pressure but learns to stand firm when the way forward seems impossible. Join us this Sunday at 9:30 as we seek to trust God for what feels impossible and watch Him make a way where there seems to be none.

PRAY

Lord God,

We come before You today with open hearts. Quiet our fears and calm our thoughts. Help us to lay down our worries and distractions. Teach us to trust You, even when we do not see the way forward. Give us humble hearts that are ready to listen and willing to obey. Build in us a resilient faith that stands firm under pressure. Speak to us through Your Word. Change us by Your Spirit. Lead us closer to You.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

DIVING DEEPER

What would it look like for you to “stand firm” and trust God instead of reacting in fear?

What fears are stopping you from moving forward in faith?

How has God shown His faithfulness to you in the past, and how does that help you obey now?

Do you believe that God is strong enough to handle what threatens you? How can you rest in God’s power instead of depending only on your own strength?
