Luke 19:1-27
Consider
The End of February is the Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) season – the season for some of us investing for the future so that we might live more comfortably without anxiety. This week, when we dive into the Scripture from the gospel of Luke 19:1-27, we will naturally think “How do we invest our lives for eternity?” When the master told his servants to “put his money to work” (v.13), he expected his servants to take risks in the hostile environment. The parable also leads us to ponder whether we are living in the comfort zone and not willing to take risk for the eternity or if we are investing wisely for the future. There are three things for us to ponder:
-
- Are we responding God’s Grace with joy?
- Are we investing in God’s Kingdom by faith?
- Are we expecting God’s work in us and through us in awe?
Brothers and sisters, let us invest our lives for the Kingdom of God and expect our eternal God will do extraordinary things out of His extravagant grace to enlighten us.

Pray
Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for provision and guidance. May you continue to guide me to deepen, declutter, discern, and discover how I should invest my life for your Kingdom. May you strengthen me to focus on your Kingdom rather than the fleshly desire. In the name of Christ Jesus, I pray. Amen.
