Consider
At the beginning of each year, many of us will make New Year’s resolutions. What will be yours this year? Last week, we talked about meeting Jesus in Christmas. I pray that SCBC family will encounter Jesus more in 2023, continue to grow into the likeness of Christ, and be the missional disciples for the Kingdom of God.
Before considering doing more for Jesus, let us discern which areas of our lives we need to slow down to make room for Jesus to transform us. Are there any areas of our lives that need to be decluttered? At the beginning of the year, let us discover what God has done in our lives and count His blessings. We will know God is indeed with us every moment of our lives and transforming us to His likeness.
Get ready!! It will be a wonderful 2023 for all of us. I trust that God will continue to guide us and be gracious to us.

Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for your love and grace throughout the last year. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide me through my discernment in how to live a life for your glory. May God guide me every step of the way to be your missional disciple. May your love continue to dwell in me richly and I will love the people around me like You love me. In Jesus’s name I pray, Amen.

Any areas of our lives need to be deepened and decluttered?
How can we live closer WITH GOD in our lives?
How are we being TRANSFORMED to be more like Christ?
How is the Holy Spirit empowering us to imitate Christ in what we DO this week?
