To Doubters Inside & Outside the Church

Romans 12:3-6

CONSIDER

Evangelism isn’t a scripted sales pitch; it is a humble invitation to experience God’s grace. The Apostle Paul in Romans 12 offers a better approach to reaching doubters, whether they are skeptics outside the church or believers struggling with their faith, that begins with a realistic, humble view of ourselves.

Here are two key ways to reach doubters:

1. Lead with Humility
Paul warns against pride and calls for “sober judgment.” Our faith is built on God’s grace, not our own intelligence or perfection. When we admit we need this grace daily, we create a safe environment. It proves the church is a hospital for the broken, not a museum for the flawless.

2. Serve as One Body
We reach the world together, not alone. The church is a community with diverse gifts—teaching, serving, and showing mercy. Doubters often feel lonely and fear judgment. A loving, united church alleviates this by surrounding them with support. When the world sees us acting in harmony rather than arguing, our unity proves God’s love is real.

Let’s ask God to remove our pride so we can connect with doubters. Whether it’s a friend questioning God or a fellow believer in a crisis of faith, our job is simple: show up, help with humility, and point them to Jesus.

This Sunday, Isaac Paul from Apologetics Canada will explore with us on faith and doubt. Then stay for our 11:15am session in the Chapel as Isaac shares compelling reasons why we can trust the Bible.

PRAY

Lord, thank You for the grace and faith You have so freely given me. I pray that You would remove any pride from my heart when I meet doubters, both inside and outside the church. Help me to love them exactly where they are and to be an active, supportive member of Your body. Use my unique gifts to bring Your truth, comfort, and peace to those who are struggling to believe. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
