1 Corinthians 6:12-20
CONSIDER
This week as we continue in our series, we see the church in Corinthians struggling in the area of sexual immorality. Paul wants to help them see the hope of the gospel that is rooted in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in the flesh. Our bodies are valuable and we are called to use them to glorify God, whether in our relationship with God or others, so we can know Christ more each day.
If you missed last week’s sermon, do take the time to listen to it as it gives us a theological framework to know how to approach conversations around Gender & Sexuality in a way that honors God and people; full of grace and truth.
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday.

PRAY
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.”
~ 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Lord, help us to honor our bodies and use them for your glory. We acknowledge that our salvation was purchased at a high price, one that we could not pay. Thank you for this gift and help us to use our bodies to bring glory to your Name. Amen.

Read v14. How does the physical death & resurrection of Jesus give us hope today & give value to the body?
Read v18-20. How does the imagery of the temple shape our understanding of the significance of the body?
How is God calling you to flee from sexual immorality? If you were bought with a price, what does it mean to honor God with your bodies?
