Adult Winter Clothing Drive
The Outreach Ministry Team encourages brothers and sisters to donate generously used/new adult winter clothing for newcomers and refugees to Canada. SCBC will partner with Agincourt Community Services Association, that has received lots of requests from people who will be experiencing their first winter in Canada, as the cold weather approaches. Operation Christmas Child
We invite SCBC families to bless others by participating in the Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Shoebox ministry. The mission of OCC is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need, and to partner with the local churches worldwide to share the gospel. There will be only 1 service that day and we will join together to celebrate God’s Grace. GLO worship, Cantonese Sunday School and English Sunday School will be cancelled. RELIEF FOR MOROCCO EARTHQUAKE AND LIBYA FLOODS
On September 8th, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake in Marrakesh–Safi, Morocco, caused at least 2,900 deaths and over 5,500 injured. Then on September 9th & 10th, the huge rainfall and floods in eastern Libya resulted in the collapse of two dams and caused an estimated 10,000 deaths and over 40,000 people being displaced. SCBC will contribute from our Charity Fund $5,000 to World Hope International (Canada) for their relief work and spiritual support to the disaster victims on the ground. Please…
