1 Timothy 1:6-14
CONSIDER
The central thought in 1 Timothy 1 is v9-10, which is a summary of the gospel. In v11, Paul shares his calling as a herald, apostle and teacher, connecting that calling to a willingness to suffer for the gospel.
This week we finish our English Ministry vision series but also start our new church-wide series. Our focus for this week is on the gospel and the call that we have to share his Good News to the world.
As an English Ministry, evangelism will be one of our main priorities this year. We will be preaching and thinking through how we are specifically called as a congregation to be equipped to share the gospel individually and as an English ministry.
My prayer for this week is that we will see the joy of the gospel and accept the call to be willing to suffer so that others may know of Christ. I pray that God will make us bold and His Spirit would give us His power, love and self-discipline (v7) to live for the gospel.
See you Sunday.

PRAY
Lord, help us to be a people who know the gospel and live to share it with the world around us. Help us to be equipped by others and your Word so that we can be faithful in what you are calling us to. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
