Esther, Mordecai and others living under Jewish exile in the Persian empire went through extremely difficult times with the Persian King Xerxes where power, wealth and beauty were exerted, pursued and displayed. We can identify and relate to similar struggles in our chaotic world. Esther rose from humble roots to become queen of one of the greatest empires in history. God was able to use Esther to save the Jewish people from extermination at the hands of a genocidal despot. The Jewish celebration of the Feast of Purim originates from this deliverance and yet, this book in Scripture is one of the most questioned by Christian and Jewish scholars, as well as by skeptics.
Join us in an exciting journey through the study of the book of Esther and be assured that God’s sovereignty in our ups and downs in small to major events is meant for our good.
