Now Faith is being sure of what we hope for
and certain of what we do not see.
Hebrews 11:1

For Christians, we often mention ‘Faith’ and ‘Hope’. “The hope for his return” always gets referenced in sermons, bible studies and our conversations. The term seems to imply some promising happenings. It also sounds important! What exactly does that mean? How sure are you that He is coming back?

Even Jesus’ disciples asked these questions during Jesus’ final days before the cross: “…what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” (Mt. 24:3) What can we know about this seemingly important doctrine?

In this class, we will be surveying the key passages in the Bible concerning this topic: the Book of Daniel, Jesus’ Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24 and 25; Apostle Paul’s letter to the Corinthians and the Thessalonians as well as Apostle John’s Book of Revelation.
The intent of this class is not to convey academic knowledge or to satisfy our curiosity. We prayerfully hope that this class will help us to gain biblical insights on what we can know so that we can prepare for it. Knowing our destiny will shape our worldview. It will guide us in making life decisions today in light of our hope in Him.

“Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.” (Rev. 1:3)
“…while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.” (Titus 2:13)
