In every respect, Jesus’ twelve disciples were perfectly ordinary men. Not one of them was renowned as great scholar, orators or theologians. Indeed, they were not even involved inside the religious establishment of Jesus’ day. They were prone to mistakes, wrong attitudes, lapse of faith or even bitter failure. However, they were transformed by the risen Lord and they returned to their apostolic calling.
The purpose of this course is to study how these ordinary men were involved in the three years intensive schedule of discipleship. They were ordinary people just like us, and our objective is to learn from their examples what it means to be true disciples indeed.
