Racism and the Gospel

SCBC Children Ministry sees the rising needs to educate children from a young age to understand the issue of racism. We hope that we will develop a culture to embrace differences through the love of Jesus Christ. Hence, children ministry would like to invite GLO leaders, parents, and their children or anyone interested to join us for a discussion on racism and the gospel. Melat Hailu from Youth Unlimited will be sharing her experience growing up as a black adolescent adopted into a white Christian family in Winnipeg and now a mom raising two daughters in downtown Toronto. We will also discuss how God sees diversity, the role of the church, and how the gospel is the answer to racial injustice.
