CONSIDER
When you look at the world, do you see problems that seem too big to solve, or a harvest ready to be gathered? If we view these challenges as something to overcome through our own strength and ability, we will inevitably fall short. But when we bring our requests to God in prayer, our perspective changes. What once seemed intimidating becomes an opportunity to join God in His work.
We are also reminded that we are not doing this alone—not even as a local church. We are part of the universal Church around the world, with Christ as our Head. Jesus calls us to “pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest” (Matt. 9:37-38). As we pray, let us remember that this is the Lord’s harvest. He has gone before us and will equip us for the work He has prepared for us.
In Matthew 8–9, we read of ten encounters where Jesus brought healing to people. Seven of these involved people who were on the margins of society—those overlooked, excluded, or forgotten. As we pray for workers in the harvest field, let us remember those who have yet to hear the name of Jesus and the Good News He brings.
This week Bosco Tung will encourage us about the importance of praying and acting in response to the reality that there are people ready to receive the Gospel, waiting for someone to share it with them. May we be willing participants in God’s mission, trusting Him to accomplish His purposes through His Church for the least reached.

PRAY
Gracious Father, we praise you for being the God of the nations. We thank you for loving all of your creation and desiring a relationship with each of us. We confess when we have focused on pursuing our own earthly kingdoms rather than your heavenly one and forgetting those that have yet to hear the Good News and the opportunity to worship You. We pray that we will respond to your invitation to proclaim Christ’s salvation to all peoples. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

What small practical step can you take to show compassion for those who are oppressed, helpless, and without access to the Gospel?
