CONSIDER
The Sermon on the Mount deepens the teachings of the Old Testament through the way of Jesus. This week, Jesus is taking an Old Testament understand of oaths and challenging us to be a people whose integrity acts as salt and light in this world.
We are excited to have Samuel Lee, our English/Next Gen intern take us into God’s Word. Samuel in a missionary kid who is wrapping up his theological studies at Tyndale & as we are thankful for all the ways he has been a blessing at SCBC.

PRAY
Heavenly Father, You are the God of all truth, and in You there is no shadow of deceit. Help us, Lord, to understand and live out Your teaching. Let our “yes” be a true yes and our “no” be a firm and kind no. May every word we speak honor You and point others toward Your truth. Cleanse our hearts, that our lives might reflect Your pure character and light. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
