Matthew 6:19-24
CONSIDER
It comes as no surprise that Jesus is once again challenging the state of our heart. He wants us to move past external behavior to have hearts and minds that live for Him. As you come to church this Sunday, read through Matthew 6:19-24 and see how Jesus is challenging our worldview, exposing our heart and reminding us who is ultimately in control.
This week, Pastor Gordon Poon from Cornerstone Christian Community Church will be guiding us through our final Sunday in the Sermon on the Mount series. We want to invite our Community Groups at some point in 2025 to also journey through the study guide before we revisit the rest of the Sermon on the Mount in early 2026. Our hope is that the way of Jesus will deeply form us & equip us to be a part of what He is doing in this world. When we experience Christ more daily, we will bear witness to the gospel in our home, school, workplace and community.

PRAY
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21.
Father, help us to reflect on the times when we do not store up treasures that cannot spoil. We ask that you will transform our worldview so that we live for your kingdom. Help us to value what you value and to aim to live a life that reflects the values of your kingdom. Help us to have hearts that fixate upon Christ, our Savior and ultimate reward. Amen.
