The readers\nwere the 12 tribes of Jewish Christians who were dispersed for various reasons\nrelated to persecutions or pursuit of commerce. It\u2019s a wonderful book,\nextremely convicting that faith is not just beliefs but works, not just being\nnice but including acts of charities etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are subjects after subjects covered as\nJewish Christians&nbsp;in dispersions had problems of their faith calling for\nsolutions from the Jerusalem church. James as an elder and leader addresses\nthese issues: troubles\/difficulties (trials vs temptations), tongue, favoritism,\npride etc. The teachings are similar to Sermon on the Mount.&nbsp;There are 2\nthemes in the entire book: 1\/ hatred of hypocrisy 2\/warning about\ndouble-mindedness.
