During mission month we have chosen as our theme, \u201cGood news is for sharing\u201d. This week we are focusing on sharing that good news with those who don\u2019t know Christ overseas.<\/p>\n
So, it is our privilege to welcome our guest speakers to SCBC. While they\u2019re still not officially one of our partners in mission, we will vote on that at the members meeting on June 10th, they are fellow Christians with a passion to share the gospel.<\/p>\n
Our text for the morning is Romans 15:14-22.<\/p>\n
As you review the passage and read biography of the guest speakers pray that God will bless them and our worship together. Pray that the Holy Spirit will speak not just to our minds but to our hearts. Ask God that his promise to his church \u2013 that we will be a blessing to all peoples (Genesis 12:3) – will be realized in us as we commune with him in worship around his word and his table.<\/p>\n

“They are newlyweds with a\u00a0passion for\u00a0disciple\u00a0making. They come from Manitoba and Ontario but together are headed to one of the spiritually darkest and hottest places in the world! They serve with Africa Inland Mission and strive to build relationships in their community using English teaching as a bridge. Against all odds Christ is revealing Himself to their neighbours in dreams, visions, and their team has seen 18 choose to follow Christ in the last ten years! God is leading them to walk alongside this small group of new\u00a0believers, encouraging them to boldly live out their faith.”<\/p>\n
