{"id":15721,"date":"2024-08-04T09:25:00","date_gmt":"2024-08-04T13:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scbc.com\/em\/?post_type=ctc_sermon&#038;p=15721"},"modified":"2024-08-06T10:58:55","modified_gmt":"2024-08-06T14:58:55","slug":"how-we-grow","status":"publish","type":"ctc_sermon","link":"https:\/\/www.scbc.com\/em\/sermons\/how-we-grow\/","title":{"rendered":"How We Grow"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-gdm-google-drive-embedder-viewer\"><iframe width='100%' height='100' frameborder='0' scrolling='yes' src='https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1IBuFU_TCkHe3ZNbZknrxPxrB7vtonfxl\/preview?usp=drivesdk' allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n<h6 class=\"p1\"><b>R<\/b><b>E<\/b><b>A<\/b><span class=\"s2\"><b>D<\/b><\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p3\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Colossians 2:6-15<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p1\"><b>C<\/b><b>O<\/b><b>N<\/b><b>S<\/b><b>I<\/b><b>D<\/b><b>E<\/b><span class=\"s2\"><b>R<\/b><\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p4\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Gardening is a new hobby of mine that I picked up during the pandemic.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I love getting the garden ready, installing the water barrel &amp; taking my kids to the garden center to pick out the vegetables that they want to grow this year.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Things always start with a bang but by the middle of the summer, the zucchini isn\u2019t growing and the tomato plants aren\u2019t flourishing.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I started well but now I feel stuck &amp; at a loss of how to proceed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Colossians 2:6 reminds us that \u201cjust as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him.\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Christian maturity is seen in how we continue to grow as we experience setbacks and challenges.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>As we come together to worship this Sunday, I pray that we will see how the gospel of Christ equips and challenges us to grow in our faith by leaning solely on Jesus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Pastor Tim Sreedharan<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p1\"><b>P<\/b><b>R<\/b><b>A<\/b><span class=\"s2\"><b>Y<\/b><\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p4\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Lord Jesus, help us to be a people who live out the gospel each and every day.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Just as we have begun our faith journey with you, may we continue through the power of Christ.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Father, we come before you with our struggles, our relational brokenness and sin that hinders us from continuing with you.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Help us see how your gospel equips us to press forward, growing in Christ-likeness, each and every day.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Amen.<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p1\"><b>D<\/b><b>I<\/b><b>V<\/b><b>I<\/b><b>N<\/b><span class=\"s2\"><b>G<\/b><\/span> <b>D<\/b><b>E<\/b><b>E<\/b><b>P<\/b><b>E<\/b><span class=\"s2\"><b>R<\/b><\/span><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p4\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Where in your life do you feel stuck?
