{"id":15320,"date":"2024-04-07T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-07T13:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scbc.com\/em\/?post_type=ctc_sermon&#038;p=15320"},"modified":"2024-04-09T13:58:27","modified_gmt":"2024-04-09T17:58:27","slug":"glorious-church-glorious-gospel","status":"publish","type":"ctc_sermon","link":"https:\/\/www.scbc.com\/em\/sermons\/glorious-church-glorious-gospel\/","title":{"rendered":"Glorious Church, Glorious Gospel"},"content":{"rendered":"<iframe width='100%' height='100' frameborder='0' scrolling='yes' src='https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1Sx66sDW2JpZNSB9iJtVUKh9hAwlM2iCM\/preview?usp=drivesdk' allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n<h6 class=\"p1\"><b>READ<\/b><\/h6>\n<p class=\"p3\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">2 Corinthians 4:1-18<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p5\"><b>CONSIDER<\/b><\/h6>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">In the month of April, SCBC will start a new church-wide sermon series called \u201cThe Glorious Church\u201d.\u00a0 It was inspired by John 1:14,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u201c<\/em><em>The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.<br \/><\/em><em>We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son,<br \/><\/em><em>who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.<\/em><em>\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The glory of God is reflected upon His church with four key emphases:\u00a0 Truth, Grace, Incarnation and Fullness. \u00a0The church reflects God\u2019s glory by faithfully proclaiming the gospel truth, showing grace to the people particularly to the people who are falling short, walking along-side with the people to encounter God and attaining fullness by building each other up in Christ.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">This week, the week after Easter Sunday, we will go through 2 Corinthians chapters 3-4 to study how the glory of the resurrection of Jesus Christ empowers us to embrace the gospel mission to proclaim the Truth with our transformed lives by the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.\u00a0\u00a0 Because He lives, our lives are radically transformed for His glory.<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p5\"><b>PRAY<\/b><\/h6>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for your grace and giving us the privilege to experience the power of the resurrection. May the Spirit transform us to reflect God\u2019s glory and as we died with Christ and raised up with Christ, may the same power lives within us to fulfill God\u2019s mission. In Jesus\u2019 name, I pray, Amen.<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p5\"><b>DIVING\u00a0DEEPER<\/b><\/h6>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The resurrection of Jesus Christ tells us one crucial thing: we are going to be transformed to His likeness.
