In 2021, one word was added and became \u201cHigher, Faster, Stronger \u2013 Together\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Humanity, no matter individuals or a community, always strives for excellence.\u00a0 Church communities are no exception and often strive for excellence in ministries.\u00a0 What does it mean by excellence in God\u2019s eyes? \u00a0This week, we are going through one of the longer speech in the book of Acts.\u00a0 Actually, a big part that Scripture was the defense of Stephen against the charge and accusation from the leaders of the Jews.\u00a0 Going through Acts 6:8 \u2013 8:3, we will notice how God has been faithful to the Israelites and how Israelites missed the mark and focused on the wrong things argued from Stephen\u2019s defense.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">After the Stephen incidence in Acts, the history of the church took a dramatic turn.\u00a0 I pray that after your reading of Acts 6-8 and the message this Sunday, the church and our lives will take a turn for God\u2019s glory.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px; text-align: right;\">Pastor Julian Wong<\/p>\n<h6>PRAY<\/h6>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Heavenly Father, I give thanks that you are our God. I give thanks that in Your great love, you have given us Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins and that we have new life in you. I give you thanks for your Holy Spirit who continues to shape us individually and as a community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">I pray that you would help me to take part in the community of believers and that you would help us to devote ourselves to You and your people. What are the four markers that characterized a Christian gathering from v42?
