{"id":12949,"date":"2022-10-30T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-30T13:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scbc.com\/em\/?post_type=ctc_sermon&#038;p=12949"},"modified":"2022-11-01T10:35:26","modified_gmt":"2022-11-01T14:35:26","slug":"a-god-who-is-faithful","status":"publish","type":"ctc_sermon","link":"https:\/\/www.scbc.com\/em\/sermons\/a-god-who-is-faithful\/","title":{"rendered":"A God Who Is Faithful"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-gdm-google-drive-embedder-viewer\"><iframe width='100%' height='100' frameborder='0' scrolling='yes' src='https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/11hvrA4L2Qabu1fCMUt5lpJo6_TOnsJws\/preview?usp=drivesdk' allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n<h4>Read<\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Nehemiah 9<\/p>\n<h4>Consider<\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The months of the Fall Season every year is a time to give thanks to God for what He has provided us during the year.\u00a0 It is in this chapter nine of the Book of Nehemiah that we find God\u2019s people counting God\u2019s blessings by remembering His forgiveness of their past sins in the act of fasting and wearing sackcloth and putting dust on one\u2019s head to show signs of sorrow and repentance after Ezra read the Law of Moses.\u00a0 Nehemiah led the rebuilding of the wall; Ezra led the spiritual revival of the nation.\u00a0 The people\u2019s hearts were moved, rebuilt, and they wept openly when they heard God\u2019s laws and realized how far they were from obeying them.\u00a0 Israel was devastated by times of intense rebellion and sin.\u00a0 Yet when they repented and returned to God, He delivered them.\u00a0 But Ezra told them they should be filled with joy because the day was holy.\u00a0 It was time to celebrate and to give gifts to those in need. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The Hebrews practiced open confession, admitting their sins to one another, preceded by the reading and studying God\u2019s Word.\u00a0 The long summary of Israel\u2019s history reminds the people of their great heritage and God\u2019s promises;
