The TRIPLE PLUG - Our Vision
Our vision for every member of SCBC is three-fold:
- To 'Plug In' to God's uniquely designed plan for you that will bring glory to His kingdom
- To 'Plug In' to God's work in SCBC and become a vital part of what God is doing in our community
- To 'Plug In' to each other as we grow closer together in community under God's love, knowledge, and presence
For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ,
and individually members one of another. Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is
to exercise them accordingly." Romans 12:4-6a
Plug In is an initiative within the Body Life Board under Gifts ministry. PLUG IN aims to connect people to each other, to the gifts God has
graced us and ultimately to God himself.
Since this is a new ministry, many serving opportunities are available for you if you have the same passion to connect people to others and feel
fulfilled when others experience the Lord in the most amazing ways.

"While I grew up at SCBC since I was 7 years old, I was never really involved in fellowships, small groups, or any ministry. As a young adult however,
I've always longed to be more involved, but like many others I never knew where to start. Until one year I remember reading the book
"The Prayer of Jabez" and started praying the "Jabez Prayer"
"Oh that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil,
that I may not cause pain!"
For that year, I pray that God would use me and my skills in some way. I have longed to do something for God and hoped that I can use my
talents and energy for his church…. And God answered the following year with Anthea's burden and the result of project PLUG IN.
At first it was an idea and how it unfolded was really a blur. All I knew was that Anthea and I felt that God wanted us to help others
just like us (those who have a heart to serve but was too afraid or too lost in a big church) to PLUG IN to their church, to experience
God through serving him, to get involved and truly feel the sense of belonging at a big church. Through serving God in this project,
I learned that I cannot do things just on my own strength, and that all things are made possible through him and only him.
So I urge you. Explore this website and most of all explore yourself to find your gift and start experiencing God like you've never before.
PLUG IN only project, the website is only a website - but through God's motivating spirit and your participation, SCBC can be a playground
for your spiritual gifts and a wonderful place where you can experience God's amazing providence."
