Role: Writers (unlimited positions)

Term of Appointment: Highly flexible, from a one time commitment to one year

Spiritual Gifts Desired: Gifts of discernment, knowledge and teaching

Strengths Desired: A passion for writing, good command of English or Chinese, enjoy talking to people and have an inquisitive mind

Key Responsibilities:

  • To write up stories, interviews and on special topics
  • Participate in annual drafting of ministry department work plan and sharing the work
  • Attend and prepare reports on special functions of SCBC
  • Contact target persons to conduct interviews and prepare interview reports
  • Obtain information from ministry departments to publicize upcoming events

Role: Correspondents (1 in each people group)

Term of Appointment: Highly flexible, from a one time commitment to one year

  • Research on special topics as decided in the annual work plan
  • Obtain information from ministry departments to publicize upcoming events

Role: Offering Counting & Reconciliation - (6 positions)

Term of Appointment: Every Sunday for about one hour, from 11 am to 12 noon

Spiritual Gifts Desired: Gifts of action and administration

Strengths Desired: Accounting, accuracy, care in counting, shrewdness, focus of work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offering Counting
  • Reconciliation of money received to envelop indication
  • On-the-job training provided by existing worker

Role: General Manager's helpers (3+ positions)

Term of Appointment: 1 year minimum, work to be assigned by the General Manager

Spiritual Gifts Desired: Gifts of action and administration

Strengths Desired: handyman skills, moving stuff, cleaning & tidying up

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help fixing things in facilities
  • Help moving things when needed
  • Help cleaning and tidying up places
  • On-the-job training provided by General Manager and Building Superintendent

Role: Operators: Audio, Presentation Video, Camera, Lighting, And Security (2+ positions)

Term of Appointment: Minimum 1 Year commitment. Frequency: 5+ hours per week (onsite + remote)

Spiritual Gifts Desired: Gifts of administration, encouragement and leadership

Strengths Desired:

  • Interest and experienced in Digital (as opposed to analog) technology
  • Tenacity in problem solving
  • Servant hood spirit (e.g. see it as a privilege, as opposed to a burden, to be the "first in; last out" during an event)
  • An attitude of "get the job done"
  • Methodical & Organized especially attention to details
  • Proficient reading technical manuals
  • Proficient reading schematics and blue-print diagrams
  • Ability to see the bigger picture and how to use of technology in a cost effective and integrated way to contribute to the various ministries. (As opposed to throwing stand alone solutions per project)
  • Team player; respect and enforces operational rules
  • Inspire others with one's own technical creativity
  • Efficient (email) communication skills

  • Ensures a safe & secure operating environment for audiences and/or users
  • Ensures proper use and handling of equipment
  • Work with contractors and vendors to complete deficiencies
  • Create Operational, Administration, and Maintenance (OA&M) plans and budgets
  • Record and track OA&M activities
  • Perform performance measurements
  • Provide technical support
  • Provide operational support
  • Maintain equipment at their peak performance levels
  • Coach and train others
