"Nurture is one of the most basic and vital functions in the local church as they are the conduit for God's riches to reach his people for their growth and enrichment. As a teacher myself, I always find that as I teach I am made aware of how much more there is to discover about the wealth of truths in His words. More often than not, a Sunday school teacher will not see immediate results. It can be 5, 10 or 20 years later when you will be given "feed back" that one of your previous Sunday school students is now the pastor of a certain church or that some one is serving faithfully in a certain capacity and you taught them many years ago. Sometimes, a timely lesson or course can become so helpful to someone that their life completely turns around. I have never regretted the amount of time devoted in preparing and teaching my lessons. It is like feasting on God's truth and then sharing this sumptuous feast with others."
