Did you know SCBC offers over 70+ ministries that cater to three language groups across three generations?

    

Ministries at SCBC touch us, our family, and our children in many different ways. Through ministries, we are encouraged to serve one another, grow in our spiritual walk, and most of all allow us become a part of God's master work and plan. Each of our ministry groups in SCBC fall under one of the seven pillars of our church indicated below.

Inside Look

SCBC serves three language groups—Cantonese, Mandarin, and English—and works in a unique way to ensure that each group's different needs are met. Each language group has a Ministry Team that specifically serves the respective congregation, with the exception of the Administration Board and the Children's Ministry Board which support all three language groups in the same way. There are six functional Ministry Boards: Worship, Nurture, Body Life, Outreach, and Family. Administration is a shared functional Ministry Board for all three language groups. Each of these Ministry Boards ensures that there is a common vision for each language groups according to its area of focus.

ENGLISH MINISTRY TEAM

The English Ministry Team (EMT) serves under the guidance and oversight of the English Pastoral Team (EPT). It gives attention to each functional ministry within the English-speaking congregation, so that the members' needs are served accordingly. Under each functional board, there are different ministries that support the English congregation in many ways, as shown below.

ENGLISH MINISTRY TEAM

"The English Ministry Team (EMT) coordinates and implements ministry activities within the English-speaking congregation. EMT's main goal is 1) to identify and serve the needs of the English congregation and the community, 2) to develop and support all the existing and new ministries for the English congregation.
