Mentorship

I want to serve! But...

I don't think I'm ready…
I don't have the skills or the training to do the work…
I don't think I'm doing a very good job…
I afraid to make mistakes…
I don't know how long I can commit to the position…
I don't really know if the ministry is a good fit for my skills and talents…

If you hear any of these doubts playing in your head, the SCBC Ministry Mentorship program is God's answer to you! No one is born ready for ministry; even the most notable bible characters require a mentor. The relationship between Paul and Timothy is a good example of ministry mentorship.

Mentorship is to help you so that you can:

1. Shadow a leader to learn the operations of the ministry
2. Find out if you are a fit for the ministry
3. Further develop your skills and abilities
4. Have a "Go to" person if you have any questions or concerns while you're serving

If you are a ministry leader, please consider becoming a mentor to foster the grow of someone's spiritual walk and passion in your ministry area.

So if you have a heart to serve but are worried, don't be! Because as long as you have an open heart, God is there and we are also here to help you PLUG IN and Grow at SCBC!
