Children Sunday School

Sunday School SCBC has Sunday school for children ranging from 2 1/2 years old to grade 6. Classes are held on Sundays during adult service times to also allow parents to worship. There are two divisions namely "Early Childhood" (nursery to JK/SK) and "Primary Division" (Grade 1-6). Our mission is to help our children get to know Jesus Christ and accept Him as his/her personal Savior; so that one day they may mature into a young Christian and participate in the great commission that God has given to us. We hope to instill Christ love in the heart of the children through songs, bible stories, and interactive activities.

Minerva Lau (Primary Division Leader)

"I have been involved in the Sunday School Ministry since 1998. I was first attracted by the faithfulness, enthusiasm and commitment of the many Children Sunday School teachers who had taught my daughter during every Sundays. I then offered to serve in the administrative role when I got to know the need of the ministry. Throughout the next 10 years, God has guided me to serve in different capacities when I gradually understand a bit more about the ministry and the people who are involved mainly the teachers. God has put me into a lot of the challenging situations where I just didn't know how I can pull them through if not by His Grace. The more I get to know the teachers, the more I appreciate their serving heart and attitude. Despite different teachers may teach different classes, we belong to one team and share one common vision. It is through serving in Sunday School that I get to know my Lord better but at the same time He also guides me to know myself more. Regardless of the challenge ahead of us, we know that God is in control and more importantly it is not me that is doing the work, it is God who makes all things work through his servant, me."
