Basically, we are a bunch of teens who meet every Saturday morning to play games, pray for and encourage each other, and of course, learn about God. We welcome anyone in high school who wants to come and meet new friends.
Our Vision
Our vision consists of two main themes. The first is "being a
catalyst". A Catalyst is something that speeds up a reaction without burning itself out.
So instead of just bringing people to church, we want to bring church to the people. This encourages exponential church growth and the idea of spiritual multiplication. In this way, we can
affect people in our lives, bringing one or two people from our social circles to Christ and then discipling
them as best we can. Then in turn would affect people in their social circles creating exponential growth.
The second theme, which is
connected to the first, is that Gideon fellowship will become a "harbour for the fishermen", meaning that after our members develop those deep, spiritual bonds with people in their lives, they can come back to
Gideon (harbour). There they can experience spiritual refreshment and encouragement when we share our stories with each others. These are the ideals we wish to strive for. This is our vision.
